The Miami Herald live-blogged during the conference, and by reading the comments, you can pick the exact point at which the UM fans began rioting: 1:39.
Fans expressed their outrage that Patchan did not choose to attend UM, where his father played:
"you will never be part of this U fam ever again and to be honest you poser ass never was, freaking hater. Patchan ass sellout... i promise U this.. cory luiget and fortson will own your gibberish ass in college ......"
Florida fans soon logged on to gloat, prompting this awesome response from a semi-literate Miami fan:
"Gators have not beat Miami since 1983. Why would you talk sh@t to a UM fan. This isnt your little Georgia rivalry that you dominate. Until you beat us shut the F@CK up. Quarter of a century without beating the U."
Of course, the two teams have not played on a yearly basis since 1987. UM's 5-7 season also makes it easier to "talk sh@t." Especially given Miami's lost to the, uh, juggernaut that is NC State.Miami fans also were quick to call Patchan a racist:
"Plain and simple, the RACIST just did'nt want to play for a Black Coach."
Because when you commit to a better team that plays in a better conference and that recently won a national championship, racism is probably the most reasonable explanation for spurning the worse team.

Ouch! Remember college football fans: when you lose out on a recruit because your storied program is in shambles, racism is definitely to blame. Nice poetry though, I can't top that.
