Gators 2009 Football Schedule

September 12 Troy, at home.
September 19 Tennessee, at home.
September 26 Kentucky, away.
October 10 LSU, away.
October 17 Arkansas (Homecoming)
October 24 Mississippi State, at home
October 31 World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party
November 7 Vandy, at home.
November 14 South Carolina, away.
November 21 FIU, at home.
November 28 Florida State, at home

Wow, what a fluff schedule. LSU away is always a scary game. Georgia should still be strong next year...

Charleston Southern, FIU, Troy? That's, uhm, exhausting. And also FSU has lost its luster in recent years. We're pretty underwhelmed by the out of conference schedule. We much preferred playing a respectable WAC team, Hawaii, and traditional superpower UM.

UCF 2008 Football Schedule

Peruse it, and be enthused.

Exciting games?
9/06 USF at home.
9/20 at Boston College.
10/11 at Miami.

All are potentially winnable. However, the Knights will be losing all three. No surprise there. Miami will be the closest game-- despite DA U's great recruiting class, the bottom line is they'll be having a rough season. Maybe with 24K the Knights would win it, but . . . you all know how this sentence ends.

UM Football Schedule Released

UM has released its football schedule for 2008. The highlights as far as we're concerned?
- UM v. UF at Florida on 9/6.
- UM v. UCF at Miami on 10/11.

Both should be decent games. Florida hasn't beaten Miami since 1984. The two teams haven't played on a regular basis since 1987.

UCF 2008 Scheduling Update

UCF has scheduled a game with Boston College in 2008. UCF will travel to BC. In 2011, BC will visit UCF for a home game.

BC will join Miami as the Knights' second ACC opponent in 2008. This means that Rutgers will not be on the schedule, as UCF had been negotiating.

UCF 2008 Nonconference Schedule

The Orlando Sentinel reports that UCF is trying to add Rutgers to its 2008 schedule. That would make (along with USF), two Big East opponents in the upcoming season. I dream of a day when UCF could join the Big East, so I'd be thrilled to see this.

The other non-conference foes would be South Carolina State (the...MEAC. Yes, that is the Division II Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) and Miami (ACC). Dear God, let us beat Miami next year. They played like cripples this year, and I don't think they're suddenly going to be healed between now and then.
